Wake up beneath the peaks of the Canadian Rockies at Mount Kidd RV Park, a year-round campground in Kananaskis Village surrounded by the Kananaskis River, Opal Range and Mount Kidd. Located about an hour from Calgary, the campground is an ideal basecamp for exploring Kananaskis hiking trails, mountain biking, skiing, wildlife viewing and other outdoor adventures in every season.

With 229 campsites across six loops, Mount Kidd RV Park offers options for everything from tent trailers and smaller camping setups to large RVs. Choose from unserviced sites, powered sites and full-service pull-through sites, with individual sites mapped and photographed to help you find the right fit before you arrive.

Mount Kidd RV Park is open year-round, making it possible to experience Kananaskis beyond the traditional summer camping season. In summer, use the campground as a base for hiking, mountain biking, fishing and exploring the surrounding valleys and peaks. In winter, enjoy a quieter mountain getaway with opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing and other cold-weather adventures nearby.

Mount Kidd RV Park has 229 sites spread across six loops, each offering a different camping experience. Sites range from smaller unserviced options to large, full-service sites suitable for RVs.

Before booking, use the campground’s interactive site map to view individual site dimensions, service levels, photos and availability. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.

Know the requirements

Kananaskis Conservation Pass

The Kananaskis Conservation Pass, or K-Pass, became mandatory in June 2021 for all vehicles parked in Kananaskis Country, Bow Valley Provincial Park and public land sites. Implemented by the Government of Alberta, fees are set aside to support local conservation and safety efforts, while improving services and facilities. Passes may be purchased in person at Kananaskis Visitor Information Centres (Barrier, Elbow, Peter Lougheed and William Watson Lodge) and the Canmore Nordic Centre Day Lodge or online.
